Sync’s Library’s from the Local machine to server/local
machine to local machine/Server to Server and Server to local machine.
This tool is usually used when offsite work has been done on a project and
requires merging with existing project server database.
Features include;

Backup current
database on the local and/ or server before syncing to prevent data loss.

Allows work to
continue offsite while allowing the flexiblity of the project to continue to be
worked on the Project server in the office.
Using this function on the Menu Bar click TSDProjects as
shown below, then select the Icon.
Alternately use the button
located on the Command Manager Tool Bar under TSDProjects tab as
shown below.
Select the server/machine for the source and
destination.
Next option is to either Sync by Library or
by project as shown below; In this case selected is Sync by Library;
Select Library locations and destination and
click next;
The next prompt will be Area as shown below;
as you can see the databases match so therefore
The next selection will be member,
Beam, Part, Connection and Plate;
Sync
Member - the list displayed has the files which will be updated with the Sync;
Sync Plate - No changes therefore no files are displayed;
The next example will by Sync by Project as shown below;
Select the location of the destinations project library
Supply the New Project Number(This only appears if you are
copying a project in the same machine.)
Last Screen will show that the Synching Process is performing.
