The General Arrangement Function automates the process of creating Marking and General Arrangement Drawings.

Combined with the Grid Lines, Reduced Levels and Section Blockouts Marking and General Arrangement Drawings can be created.

It is advisable to have open the assembly of the model to which the Marking or General Arrangement Drawings are to be created from. It will speed up the process otherwise it will load the assembly every time as it creates the drawings which can be much slower.

 

The first step is to create a Template Name and then add drawing numbers and descriptions to the Template.

 

 

Using this function on the Menu Bar click TSDDrawings as shown below, then select the  Icon

 

 

  

 

Alternately use the   button located on the Command Manager Tool Bar under the TSDDrawing tab as shown below.

 

 

 

 

  

Each drawing can be setup specifically with selection of Number of Views as shown above.

Each Drawing view placed on the drawing can have a selected configuration applied and a view insertion direction.

Select View Configurations & Direction Tab, then select the view Direction and if Configurations used for the drawing views

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each drawing settings can be adjusted so that Selected Fields for mark numbers and Custom Properties can be added to the views.

Combined with addition of Reduced levels and Grids based on the view direction and Symbols such as the North arrow can be added to the drawing sheet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

       

 

 

Once your selections are complete click the generate Icon as shown  this will open a drawing template & layout  the views per selection also put in the RL or EL and Mark numbers if required.
