Welcome to The Steel Detailer.

The History

The Steel Detailer was created to remove repetitive mundane processes using Solid Works and Speed up modelling and detailing processes. The Steel Detailer has been in development since 2006 and first started as a separate list of macros performing certain tasks throughout detailing structures and concrete panels.

A wide range of projects have been completed using The Steel Detailer such as Mining, Industrial and Commercial projects. The applications intended nature was design not only to detail steel but to produce concept models and detailed engineering design models also.

There was a couple of functions not available in Solid Works and The Steel Detailer now addresses those missing functions, for example Bolt Connections.

We believe the Steel Detailer is not just a set of functions, but a process that defines the end product from concept, detail design through to steel detailing.

The help system has been created for you to understand the functions that The Steel Detailer has to offer by describing them clearly in detail combined with links to video and manuals of tutorials.

Training is online and combined with this help file will enable you as a user to produce the results required for the industry you work in, whether it be mining, industrial or commercial industries.
